When this family found this home across the street from the beach on Hutchinson Island, they knew it had potential to be their forever home. Built in the ‘80s, it had a floor plan that kept the living room, kitchen, and office separated by walls and still had the original 40-year-old tile flooring. We worked with this family to completely gut and renovate the 2nd floor kitchen and living space of their home. The kitchen grew from a small secluded corner into a gathering space for entertaining and with room for a hidden computer desk.

One of our challenges was to allow for ample refrigeration while still having a cooking area fit for a chef. This was accomplished using a Fulgor Milano island range with a powerful downdraft exhaust system running through the floor below and out of a 1st floor wall.

This kitchen features custom cabinetry, hand painted tile backsplash, apron sink, and quartz countertops.
